7,700: Mets continue tear at home, beat Marlins 6-1

Another home win

David Wright and Ike Davis brought the bats, and Jonathon Niese provided the strong start to lead the New York Mets to a 6-1 win over the Florida Marlins at Citi Field.

Wright drove in three runs with a two-run homer and an RBI single, and Davis went 4-for-4 with an RBI single.

Niese through seven innings, giving up one run on six hits and a walk while striking out six. He lost his no-hitter in the second inning on a Dan Uggla single, advancing our NoNoHitters.com count to the nice even 7,700 New York Mets games without a no-hitter.
