7,741: O wakes up, Santana pitches Mets to 6-1 win

Finally

Johan Santana did his job and the Mets offered some run support Friday night during a 6-1 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Jason Bay was 2-for-4 with a 3-RBI double, Ike Davis homered and Jose Reyes stole home on a throw to second.

Santana threw seven innings of five-hit ball, giving up just one earned run. He lost his no-hitter in the first inning on a Casey Blake single, moving our NoNoHitters.com count to 7,741 New York Mets games with no no-no.
