I give the #Mets a 1-in-8,019 chance of winning the appeal for the R.A. Dickey #nohitter.
On the first-inning chopper down the line that was ruled the Rays’ only hit, Mets third-baseman decided to try to make a barehand play because he knew of B.J. Upton’s speed and it was Wright’s only chance to get him. Had Wright mishandled it with his glove, maybe, but that clearly is a hit.
Incredible performance Wednesday night by Dickey, though, who is having a stellar first-half of the season.

How dare you appeal one hit? After Santana used the benefit of an awful foul ball call to get the first no no? It works both ways, you know.
