A happy 47th birthday to Scott Erickson, who threw the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome’s first no-hitter back in 1994. Erickson no-hit the Milwaukee Brewers on April 27 of that year for a 6-0 victory.

The Metrodome, which had a reputation as a hitter’s park, saw just one other no-hitter during its history from 1982 to 2009 – Eric Milton’s 7-0 no-no against the Anaheim Angels in 1999.

Erickson is best known to this website as one of the 10 pitchers who threw a no-hitter before joining the New York Mets.
