The Kansas City Royals took a no-hitter into the eighth inning Friday en route to a 4-1 victory over the Detroit Tigers.

Royals starter Chris Young held the Tigers hitless for five innings, and Ryan Madson followed with two perfect innings.

Reliever Kelvin Herrera took the ball for the eighth, and the Tigers’ Nick Castellanos hit a single to left off to kill the no-no.

The Royals have thrown four no-hitters. Here they are:
