Jon Lester tossed the Boston Red Sox’s 18th no-hitter, seven years ago today.
Lester on Monday, May 19, 2008 no-hit the Kansas Royals for a 7-0 victory at Fenway Park. The no-no was the fourth caught by Red Sox catcher Jason Varitek, who set a new major league record.
