Could the Toronto Blue Jays’ Marco Estrada become the next Dave Stieb?
For the second straight start, Estrada took a no-hitter bid into the eighth inning, getting the first out Wednesday before Logan Forsythe tagged him for an infield single.
On Friday, Estrada lost one against the Orioles with no out in the eighth.
Stieb, who finally got a no-no for the Blue Jays after four missed opportunities, lost no-hit bids with two outs in the ninth in back-to-back starts in September 1998.
