The New York Yankees David Cone threw a perfect game against the Montreal Expos, 16 years ago today.
July 18, 1999 was Yogi Berra Day at Yankee Stadium, as fans celebrated the beloved catcher’s return to the historic ballpark. Cone marked the day by retiring 27 straight Expos for a 6-0 win.
