We’ve had nine official no-hitters in 2021, with the Milwaukee Brewers no-hitting the Cleveland Indians, the Arizona Diamondbacks’ Tyler Gilbert no-hitting the Padres in his first start, a Chicago Cubs four-pitcher tandem no-hitting the Los Angeles Dodgers, the New York Yankees’ Corey Kluber no-hitting the Texas Rangers, the Detroit Tigers’ Spencer Turnbull no-hitting the Seattle Mariners, the Reds’ Wade Miley also no-hitting the Cleveland Indians, the Orioles’ John Means also no-hitting the Mariners, the White Sox’s Carlos Rodón also no-hitting the Indians and Joe Musgrove also no-hitting the Rangers for the San Diego Padres’ first ever no-no. And then there were 7-inning no-hit efforts not considered to be official no-hitters by Madison Bumgarner and a Rays five-some. Here we list the 2021 no-hit bids that fell short of the finish line but reached at least the 7th inning, continuing a NoNoHitters.com tradition that began in 2015.
