Pitchers for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim franchise, which has also played under the names of the California Angels and the Anaheim Angels, have thrown 12 no-hitters since the team joined the American League in 1961. The first was thrown by Bo Belinsky, a rookie thrust into Hollywood stardom whose career fizzled out.
Nolan Ryan, who threw seven no-hitters over his 27-year Hall of Fame career, tossed four of his no-nos with the Angels. Mike Witt threw his own no-hitter for the Halos and also finished out one for Mark Langston with two innings of no-hit ball.
