Pitchers with multiple no-hitters
Seven – Nolan Ryan

Nolan Ryan, holder of the amazing major-league record of seven no-hitters, tossed his first on May 15, 1973, striking out 12 Kansas City Royals and walking three en route to a 3-0 victory for his California Angels. He added his second two months later, threw his third in 1974 and tied Sandy Koufax for the major-league lead with his fourth in 1975. Ryan set a new record of five on September 26, 1981, with a no-no for the Astros against the Dodgers at the Astrodome, then added two more with the Rangers in 1990 and 1991.

Four – Sandy Koufax

Sandy Koufax’s 12-year career began in Brooklyn in 1955, but he was practically unhittable between 1962 and 1966, the year he retired due to persistent arm pain. On June 30, 1962, he threw his first no-hitter against the expansion New York Mets. He threw another against the Giants in 1963, another against the Phillies in 1964 and set a new major-league record with his fourth no-hitter on September 9, 1965, when he tossed a perfecto against the Cubs.

Three – Larry Corcoran

Brooklyn-born Lawrence J. Corcoran tossed his first no-hitter on August 19, 1880, helping his Chicago White Stockings (Cubs) capture the National League pennant by holding the Boston Red Caps hitless during a 6-0 home victory at Lakefront Park. Corcoran tossed his second no-no on September 20, 1882 in front of 1,500 fans who braved a raw and disagreeable day to watch the White Stockings take on Worcester. Corcoran became the first major-league pitcher to throw three no-hitters when he blanked the Providence Grays for a 6-0 win on June 27, 1884, during a grueling season that destroyed his arm.

Three – Cy Young

Denton True “Cy” Young, who won 511 games over a 22-year career, tossed his first no-hitter in his eighth season with the National League’s Cleveland Spiders, no-hitting the Cincinnati Reds with just one walk for a 6-0 win. Young’s second no-hitter was a 3-0 Boston Americans perfect game win over the Philadelphia Athletics on May 5, 1904. Four years later, at the age of 42, Young tied Corcoran with his third no-hitter, an 8-0 Red Sox win on June 30, 1908, over the New York Highlanders.

Three – Bob Feller

Bob Feller’s first no-hitter was the famed Opening Day no-no of 1940 (Indians 1, White Sox 0). His second came early in 1946—his first full season after losing nearly four years of baseball to U.S. Navy duty during World War II (Indians 1, Yankees 0). Five years later, at the age of 32, Feller tied the record shared by Young and Corcoran by throwing his third and final no-hitter in the first game of a home doubleheader against the Detroit Tigers, a 2-1 victory.

Justin Verlander threw his first two no-hitters as a member of the Detroit Tigers in 2007 (against the Toronto Blue Jays) and 2011 (against the Milwaukee Brewers). Verlander threw his third no-no as a member of the Houston Astros on September 1, 2019, becoming just the sixth pitcher in major-league history to reach that milestone. He struck out 14 and walked one at Rogers Centre for his second against the Blue Jays.
