The San Francisco Giants have thrown nine no-hitters since moving to California in 1958. Juan Marichal threw the first no-no for the relocated New York Giants on June 15, 1963.
The franchise also had eight no-hitters while in New York for a total of 17. (View the full list here; view the list of New York Giants no-hitters here.)
Tim Lincecum is the only San Francisco pitcher to throw two no-hitters. Both of Lincecum’s no-nos have come against the San Diego Padres, making him the first major league pitcher to no-hit the same team twice since the Cleveland Naps’ Addie Joss did it in 1908 and 1910 against the Chicago White Sox.
Matt Cain threw the Giants’ only perfect game on June 13, 2012, against the Houston Astros.
